An Ohio native, Dr. Keys received her degree from Ohio State College of Optometry in 1987. She relocated to Fairbanks in 1994 as her husband was stationed at Eielson AFB. She loves working in optometry, and has worked in an ophthalmologist's office, corporate optometry, HMOs, veteran's homes and now private practice. With Jim and Salley Rothmeyer, she formed West Valley Vision Center in 1997; three years later she purchased the practice. Her part-time schedule allows her to spend time with two very busy sons. 

Dr. Mavencamp has lived in Fairbanks for years, and is a member of Monroe High School's class of 1993. He studied biology at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, graduating with honors in 1998. Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, granted him a Doctorate in Optometry in 2005. Today he happily practices optometry at West Valley Vision Center. He lives in Fairbanks with his wife, Meredith, and three children.

In addition to passing part of his childhood in rural southern Oregon, Dr. Mills was also a missionary kid in Africa. He received his B.A. in history from California's Biola University. After working in the timber industry, he returned to school at Pacific University in Oregon and got a Doctorate in Optometry. He has worked as an optometrist in both Alaska and Idaho. He and his wife have three delightful children, and the family spends time traveling, camping, hunting and fishing.

I was born and raised in Fairbanks. I graduated from West Valley High School in 2008. I attended the University of Maine and played on their Division I Women's Hockey team. I graduated from UMaine in 2012 with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Microbiology. I attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, where I graduated in 2016. After graduation, I completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Surgical Co-management at BVA Advanced Eye Care in Edmond, Oklahoma. My husband, Matt, was in the U.S. Navy and stationed at Tinker AFB. I practiced in Oklahoma City at the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic for 2.5 years and at a private practice in Norman, OK prior to moving back to Fairbanks. We recently welcomed our first son, Oliver. We are excited to be moving back to Fairbanks!
